Week 3 Slump into Week 4 Smiles

Updated: Oct 9, 2019

Week three was extremely difficult for me because I was in one of the biggest funks I feel I have ever been in.

Saturday I went to the Greek festival with two of my roommates Kortney and Erika and we lived our best lives eating more food than I could ever manage and listened to incredible music. Then I got coffee gelato and I was literally the happiest camper in all of the land.

Then Sunday the slump hit.

But on Monday I started a new book called "You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life." . I hate that I started a new book when I have quite a few I'm in the middle of, but I was really hoping it would help knock some sense into me. And knock some sense into me it did.

The book is incredible and I have so many thoughts about it that I'm probably going to do an entire separate blog post on it when I finish it. However, if you have time I would 1000% recommend reading this book because it honestly makes me happy just looking at it let alone putting the ideas into practice.

I have also followed some of the advice the one and only Christina Layne Ramsey gave in last week's blog post (found here: http://jankecm.wixsite.com/tipsytheatretraveler/single-post/2017/10/08/Living-Life-in-the-Waiting ).

I'VE STARTED COOKING! Now ask Molly or Sierra (or even my Merry Go Round roommates) and they will tell you the extension of my cooking is spaghetti, peanut butter and jelly, and the occasional Italian Chicken and Pasta in the crockpot. And while I'm not quite ready to be on Master Chef here are a few of the recipes I've made this week:

  • Pumpkin Pie Overnight Oats

  • Spaghetti and Meat Sauce and zucchini

  • Chicken and Rice with Potatoes, zucchini and squash

I also made a delicious taco soup and have had leftovers for DAYS. I know it does not seem like much, but I am so proud of myself for not eating frozen food all week like normal. Also shout out to my roommates for being so supportive and being total foodies/meal preppers because it inspired me to stop being so lazy in the kitchen.

So that's it for this week, but stay tuned because next week I'm having another guest post! Be excited because it is going to be another great one.

Can you believe I live here?

Because I still can't.

XOXO,

Chelsea
